Shark Brown News Story
The students creating Shark Brown were featured on the local campus news. Take a look. Check out their full interviews on the prior post, ya hear?
Some local communication students are taking their latest homework assignment very seriously. Lars Lindstrom is directing "Shark Brown", a show that revolves around a very young detective.
Every semester, News and TV production students are given the assignment to produce a 5-10 minute original television pilot episode. This semester, the students hope the pilot gets more than a good grade.
"We plan on submitting [the pilot] to film festivals and actual television channels," said Lindstrom, who is very excited about the project.
Paul Reilly, another student and member of the production crew, says he has never been a part of a project this complicated.
"I've never had the boom mic, or any of the nice sound equipment, or the fog machine, anything like that," noted Reilly.
Zach Brown, who plays the main character, is a high school student, so many of the shoots revolved around his school schedule. Brown looks a little younger than he is, and Lindstrom was excited to work with Brown because he felt Brown's high school age would make him easier to direct than someone who actually fit the 12 year old character age.
C365 Productions, the student-run organization driving the project, plans to release the pilot on April 7th.
